HIGHLAND.  Another fantastic release from the lovely people at Ardnamurchan Distillery.

A mixture of peated and unpeated malt was first matured in ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred to madeira cask for two flippin years!

This has yielded beautiful aromas of cocoa powder, sugared almonds and fruit cake.  The palate then gives you a good dollop of cinammon spice dusted over salty trail mix, toffee apple, strawberry and chocolate chips.  Lovely texture with a long dry finish.  Yum.

And of course, like all things Ardnamurchan this whisky is free from artificial colour and chill-filtration.
