ARDNAMURCHAN SHERRY CASK RELEASE 70CL

The abv varies from batch to batch, the current one is sitting on a respectable 50% abv.

HIGHLAND.  All the way up on the beautiful Ardnamurchan peninsula, Adelphi Distillery are knocking out some highloy acclaimed, praise worthy whiskies.

The latest is this sherry cask release, which has been matured in pedro ximenez and oloroso sherry butts, yum!

Giving lots of beautiful natural colour from the cask (no caramel colouring added here thank you very much!) and aromas of murray mints, bonfires, salted peanut ice cream and even some savoury notes with teriyaki beef and relish aromas.  Wild.

This gives way to a palate of smoky bacon, old tractor shed, peanut brittle and more meaty notes again in the form of sticky spare rib flavours!  Then it switches gear on you giving off some sweeter cherry and red fruit notes with a little chalky minerality.
