Augustiner Edelstoff is a crisp, refreshing, golden german lager (of the helles variety). Expect notes of cut grass, herbs, sweet malts and a moderate level of bitterness. Combine this with a light body and delicate carbonation, and you have the recipe for a world class lager.
Augustiner brewery is considered to be Munich’s oldest independent brewery and was founded in 1328 by Augustinian monks. Over that time its fair to say they have perfected the art of making a refreshing lager.
