Description
Stellenbosch. This is Zorgvliet’s Bordeaux blend so it’s quite serious; but with an underlying depth of dark brambly fruit, rich and plummy with hints of warm cloves leading to a satisfying finish with grippy but well-integrated tannins. Very big, very black, very rich, very classy wine.
The winery is pronounced SORG-fleet, which roughly translates as “no worries”, Zorgvliet is a small family-owned winery in Banghoek, one of the six “wards” or districts of Stellenbosch. Zorgvliet is a stunning spot at one end of the Simonsberg Mountain on the beautiful Helshoogte Pass (Hell’s Heights)
