Description
A very tasty case of some not so run of the mill finds
1 each of
LEITH MANZANILLA, SPAIN
JEREZ: Leith manzanilla sherry is Fino in style made in the port of Sanlucar de Barrameda. Bone dry with nutty and doughy flavours.
TESELA ALBILLO, SPAIN
CASTILLA Y LEON. Fresh and zesty with floral peaches, minerality, white grapefruit and gooseberry.
TERRE DI VALTER SCIAPO FIANO, ITALY
CAMPANIA. Utterly gorgeous fiano fermented in (one) large barrel. Inense, grippy, textural and fabulous. It is the business.
DOMAINE DES TOURELLES VIEILLES VIGNES CINSAULT, LEBANON
BEKAA VALLEY. Old vine cinsault so concentrated and tasty it beggars belief. Bright ripe cherry, fig and red plum with star anise spice. Intense, hefty for a cinsault, yet it is super drinkable.
ALTOCEDRO ANO CERO TEMPRANILLO, ARGENTINA
LA CONSULTA, UCO, MEDOZA. Really juicy, ripe, black cherry fruit with spice and well integrated tannins. Big, bold, almost over-ripe in a winter-warmer, delicious way.
CATHERINE MARSHALL PETER’S VISION
ELGIN. Elegant Bordeaux blend with dark orchard fruits, garrigue and pencil shavings. Opulent and velvety on the mid palate with a refreshing mineral finish. Incredibly impressive for the price.
