Description
PINEAU DE CHARENTES ROUGE MAXIME TRIJOL 75CL
17%, Cognac, France
Red Pineau de Charentes! Essentially it’s just grape juice plus grape spirit, leading to a sweet, boozy aperitif/dessert wine.
They say…
“TASTING COMMENTS:
Rich and complex, fruity (blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry…) and slightly spicy (cinnamon, vanilla). Soft attack, balanced. Flowing, round tannins are unobtrusive and pleasant. Aromas of ripe red fruits.
TASTING SUGGESTIONS:
Our pineau can be served at different temperatures, depending on what it accompanies:
– 5 to 8° as an aperitif.
– 10 to 12° with Fois Gras, soft goat’s cheese, melon.
– 15 to 17° with sweet purple plum tart, or a sorbet.”
